Heart of Texas Lab Rescue Announces 1st Annual Heart of Texas Lab Rescue Benefit

Continental Club will host a benefit concert Aug. 4 for the Heart of Texas Lab Rescue (HOTLR) starting at 10pm featuring Heybale, Daniel Link and Rock Bottom Choir.

(PRWEB) July 14, 2005 -- The next SoCo First Thursday, Aug. 4, will offer even more good times for a good cause to visitors. The first annual HOTLR benefit concert hosted by the Continental Club, Aug. 4 at 10pm, is the brainchild of Karen Haffelfinger, a Lab Rescue volunteer and friend of the Austin music scene. "To bring together two great things in life, great Austin music and Labrador Retrievers will make this a night to remember," says Karen. "Come on out for great music and good dog karma!"

Musicians donating their time and talents for this evening include Heybale, Redd Volkart's raise-the-roof country all-star band; Daniel Link, a pop and rock original with a brand new CD; and the Rock Bottom Choir with Matt McCormack, Will Sexton and their all-star band. Tickets are $12; all proceeds will benefit HOTLR.

HOTLR is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization rescuing Labrador Retrievers from shelters, pounds, abandonment and other situations and placing them in loving, caring homes in the Central Texas area.

An icon in the Music Capital of the World, Continental Club is the granddaddy of all local music venues and has a coast to coast reputation as the premiere club for live music in Austin since 1957.
