2005 IfCE Culture Change Intensive Series Dates Confirmed

Institute for Caregiver Education to host five Culture Change Intensive conferences in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Florida.

Chambersburg, PA (PRWEB) July 15, 2005 -- The Institute for Caregiver Education will host a total of five Culture Change Intensive Series conferences this fall in New England and Florida. Due to the popularity of the Culture Change Intensive Series held in Pennsylvania earlier this year, the organization is expanding its venues to states which have voiced an interest in continued Culture Change education.

We were very pleased with the turnout at our Pennsylvania Culture Change Intensive Series this year," says IfCE President Annette Sanders. The feedback that we received after each event was excellent. Many attendees made a point to tell us that they appreciated the opportunity to have participated in a more 'nuts and bolts type of learning experience."

One of the unique aspects of the Institute is that the team currently provides Culture Change training and consultation to many long term care, short term rehabilitation, assisted living and home care providers across the country. The result is a team experienced in meeting many of the real-world challenges entailed in cultivating deep system change. They have taken what they have learned in those environments and created the "Intensive Training Series."

The New England Culture Change Intensive Series is focused on providing an advanced level of training for providers who already have a basic understanding of Culture Change and the movement in the industry to transition from a medical model of care to a social model of care.

The New England Culture Change Intensive Series will take place:
September 27th in Peabody, MA at Renaissance Gardens/Brooksby Village
September 28th in Springfield, MA at the Holiday Inn-Springfield Downtown
September 29th in East Hartford, CT at the Holiday Inn East Hartford

This series will be covering an advanced group of Culture Change topics, including:
Neighborhood Team Implementation
How Culture Change Supports the Survey Process
Holistic Advances in Caregiving
Organizational Leadership and Culture Change

Registration for the New England Series is $100. A light breakfast and a buffet-style lunch will be provided at each venue.

The Institute would like to thank Renaissance Gardens at Brooksby Village in Peabody for donating conference space for the September 27th venue.

The Florida Culture Change Intensive Series is designed for professionals with an early understanding of Culture Change. This series will focus on early adaptation of Culture Change initiatives.

The Florida Culture Change Intensive Series will take place:
October 11th in Jacksonville, FL at the Holiday Inn Jacksonville & Baymeadows
October 13th in Altamonte Springs, FL at the Holiday Inn Orlando North/Altamonte Springs

Topics will include:
Culture Change Philosophies
Resident-Centered Care
Neighborhood Teams
I-Format Care Plans
Liberalized Dining
Regulatory Compliance
Quality of Care & Quality of Life

Registration fees for the Florida venue have not yet been determined. The Florida events will also include a light breakfast and a buffet-style lunch.

These events will be reviewed by the National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Boards of Examiners for Nursing Home Professionals (NAB) and will be submitted for approval for six participant hours. Additionally, six hours will be submitted for RNs, LPNs/LVNs, Social Workers, Activity Professionals, and Dietary Managers.
