INSYSTEK tested the inventorying capabilities of the beta version of their range of solutions in a simulated 10,000 2003 Server environment, using a round-robin DNS approach. The 7 DL360 were entered for name resolution via the HOSTS file. Systems were then inventoried with 10,000 unique host names resolving to TCP/IP addresses representing the hosts. The systems were inventoried for hardware and software configurations including installed software, operating system, network adapters, physical memory, logical disk, processor, and services.
