GRAND RAPIDS, MI (PRWEB) July 16, 2005 -- Tim Mainka, the songwriter, producer, and musician known as Sonic Freedom, is now a four-time "Sweet 16" finalist in the MakeAStar.com worldwide songwriting contest, with his song, Its All About Love".

As usual, Tim was sole performer and producer on "It's All About Love". MakeAStar.com's industry pro, nicknamed OrphanEddie, reviewed and wondered if he played all the instruments on this song:
"Your skills are clearly there: you can play multiple instruments, write melodically-catchy songs and sing quite well...the vocals, guitars and bass are all really good technically. The lead guitar solo was really impressive. If you are playing all the instruments Im really impressed. Usually I can tell if this is the case, but this sounds pretty much like a band. Nice work!"

You can decide for yourself by listening to Sonic Freedom - Tim Mainka compete against 15 other musical artists in first-round competition, which starts starts on July 19, 2005, 5pm EST and ends on July 26, 2005, 5pm EST. You can think of the contest as a "single-elimination, revolving-door" championship. At least once a month 16 new songs reviewed by industry professionals enter the contest in the 8 "Clubs."

There are four stages in the revolving competition (Preliminary, Quarter Final, Semi-Final, Final) and each stage runs for a week, so it will take a song one month to work its way to the top. The general public may listen to the songs in streaming audio or download free mp3s from MakeAStar.com, and register, free, to vote at the website. Listen and vote today at www.MakeAStar.com.

Curtis Lowell, from MakeAStar.com, has commented on Sonic Freedom - Tim Mainka's pioneering sound.

"You have a unique sound...there is a lot of invention...the vocals adds a further musical dimension...you have real spirit in your voice...the overall effect is solid."
