Richard Pilot -- Bio Notes (supplied by Caldicot Comprehensive School)
"Richard was a very able and talented young man during his time at Caldicot School. He had an inquisitive and creative mind, which developed under the guidance and encouragement of the teaching staff. As a young Year 7 pupil he entered a National competition 'Itll Never Work and won first prize for his walking suitcase. He won a computer and from this point his talent really developed. He was invaluable to the Computing Department and, along with another student, set up the School Website. He was involved in Business Studies, taking part in the UWCN Business Challenge. In his final year, his team came second out of 4500 teams in the National Proshare Competition, wining several thousand pounds for the school.
