OPM Selects Information Experts as Go Learn Prime Contractor for Consulting and Transformational Change Management (STA 5) Requirements
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) selected strategic communications firm Information Experts to provide Consulting and Transformational Change Management services under OPMs GoLearn program.
(PRWEB) July 17, 2005 -- OPMs selection of Information Experts highlights a growing need within government to transform the way that business is conducted by dramatically improving the efficiency and effectiveness of government training programs. Through GoLearn, OPM intends to fully integrate federal training programs with tracking and career development planning and provide an easy, cost-effective opportunity to measure return on investment, as well as link training investments to their impacts on the strategic bottom line.
The mission of the Government Online Learning Center (GoLearn), part of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), is to provide the full spectrum of web-based human capital performance (e-HCP) tools, and the full range of web-based training content, including academic, technical, executive and organizational development courses to any Government employee or industry partner in any media at any time.
Recognizing the sweeping changes taking place in the way that the U.S. Government trains federal personnel, IE CEO, Marissa Levin, notes that government agencies are increasingly investing in strategic communications and change management initiatives to fulfill the goals of the Presidential Management Agenda and the e-Training initiative. We look forward to helping OPM fulfill its mission to develop world class secure, modern, cross-agency solutions that transform the management of Federal human capital."
Contract awards covered seven service categories, or specialized technical areas," comprising Learning Management Systems; Training Content COTS Courseware; Collaboration Tools and Human Capital Performance Applications; Implementation Customization and Integrations Support Services; Consulting and Transformational Change Management; Academic Licensing, Credentials and Online Degrees; and Staff Support.
Information Experts, a small, woman-owned, 8(a) business, was selected for the strategic consulting components to this initiative, along with traditional consulting firms Bearing Point, IBM, Deloitte, and Pearson.
