Oceanside Elks to hold Charity Golf Event with $1 Million Dollar Prize Money

The Elks in Oceanside and the Honorable Jim Woods, Mayor of the City of Oceanside and Tournament Honorary Grand Marshal, jointly announced today that it will hold is First Annual Charity Golf Tournament on October 10 and 11 at the Oceanside Municipal Golf Course.

OCEANSIDE, CA, (PRWEB) July 17, 2005 -- The Elks in Oceanside and the Honorable Jim Woods, Mayor of the City of Oceanside and Tournament Honorary Grand Marshal, jointly announced today that it will hold is First Annual Charity Golf Tournament on October 10 and 11 at the Oceanside Municipal Golf Course.

Golfers are invited to participate in three fun filled, exciting events spanning two days: On Monday, October 11, a Scramble starting at 7:00 AM, followed by a Tournament staring at 2:00 PM, and on Tuesday, an all-day-Marathon starting at 7:00 AM.

Up to 40 participating players will be drawn from a hat who will then have a chance to shoot for a Million Dollar Hole-in-One, and all players will have several opportunities to win prizes ranging from $500 to $25,000 in cash, luxury cars, vacation trips, trophies and many other prizes through competitions such as hole in one, closest to the pin, longest drive and putting contests.

Each player will receive an Elks embroidered shirt, cap and goody bag", and be treated to free breakfast and lunch in the Underwriter Sponsors tent at the golf course and awards reception that will include cocktails and a 3-course Cordon Bleu gourmet dinner at the Elks Lodge on Monday evening.

Players who would like to participate as Elk Ambassadors" in the Marathon will play for free, will receive an Elks Ambassador embroidered shirt and cap, gifts and a Certificate of Appreciation from the Elks. Marathon players with sponsor pledges will receive preference.

The cost for Scramble and Tournament players is $90
