Gwendolyn Awen Jones, Nautilus Book Award Finalist, Featured at TheBookInsider.com

(PRWEB) July 17, 2005 --Finally a book that Pro-life and Pro-Choice are actually agreeing on! "A Cry From the Womb - Healing the Heart of the World," by Gwendolyn Awen Jones, is a guide to healing and helping Souls return to the Light after sudden death, miscarriage, stillbirth or abortion.

Gwendolyn Awen Jones was born in England 1953 with a natural gift of being able to see into the spiritual realms. She trained in Mexico and in England as a medical intuitive and healer. Her first book, "A Cry From the Womb - Healing the Heart of the World" is a Nautilus Book Award Finalist.

"This is an intriguing, thought provoking and important work. Jones' extensive knowledge of and keen analysis of conception, the uterine state, birth, bonding and general development is right on target, giving fresh insights into issues of profound importance to our present perilous state. Her plea that the pre-conceptual period be a time of preparation for conception, a preparation which can bring into the world a new human of greater intelligence and ability, is backed by strong research and striking examples of which I have personal acquaintance. Her view on abortion is free of the political religious power-seeking abuse currently muddying the waters of that painful subject, introducing an aspect which I had never heard nor thought of; while her general guidance for unwanted pregnancy is compassionate, intelligent, and helpful. Above all, this is a book about the plight of children and the human spirit in general, as well as the spirit children bring into the world with them. At this time of social disintegration, with its mounting rise of child suicide and violence, there is an equally strong social hunger for spiritual renewal, and to both Gwendolyn Jones brings an important, and challenging, viewpoint and message."
-- Joseph Chilton Pearce: Author of The Biology of Transcendence, Crack in the Cosmic Egg.

Jones lectures internationally and her work has brought a sense of peace and healing to many around the world.

THEBOOKINSIDER.COM: Thank you for taking the time to talk to us, Gwen. Please tell us a little about yourself. And how did you become a medical intuitive, healer and spiritual teacher?

GWENDOLYN AWEN JONES: I was born with a gift of being able to see into the spiritual realms. As a child I saw many things that others did not see. Some things frightened me, others were beautiful, but I had no way of knowing what I was seeing as no-one around me could see as I did. I learned not to speak about what I saw as folks reacted strangely, especially when I spoke of visions that later came true. It was not until I went to Mexico in my early twenties and met a Mayan curandera (a native healer) that I began to understand that my unusual way of seeing was a gift that could be used for healing. At the time I was ill and the curandera healed me and told me that I was to become a healer myself. Though initially I doubted what she said, I stayed with her for about four months and learned how to use my gifts. When I returned to England I continued to study healing methods with other spiritual teachers. For many years I continued my career as an artist and photographer while learning how to use my gifts. In my forties I began healing work formally after the death of a close friend, who had been a great healer. That was in 1993. Since then I have traveled across England and the US lecturing and helping folks. As a medical intuitive I can see all levels of the human field and can see where the damage is that is causing illness. Often physical illness is caused by problems in the mental, emotional or spiritual realms. Because I can see those levels of the human field I can help a person resolve the issues.

THEBOOKINSIDER.COM: Who and/or what has been the greatest influence in your life?

GWENDOLYN AWEN JONES: The meeting with the Mayan curandera without a doubt was a massive turning point in my life. Without her help I would still be wondering what was going on. There have been other great teachers and healers who have helped me since then, but she brought me out of a severe illness and put me on the path of spiritual grace.

THEBOOKINSIDER.COM: What inspired you to write "A Cry From the Womb: Healing the Heart of the World?"

GWENDOLYN AWEN JONES: Over the years I have seen a repeating pattern of illness around men and women who have lost a child, especially if the child was lost before full term or was stillborn. Most often the grief has been pushed down to the core of their being and no-one has helped them or counseled them after the loss. Also many times the child has not been given any last rites or been assisted back to the light. Without closure or guidance on how to heal, the parents grief can hold the childs soul back. Often I find the childs soul still enmeshed in the energy field of the parent. This causes a blockage in the flow of life energy in the parent, which can result in serious illness. It is essential to help the childs soul return to the light with transitional prayers and help the parents heal. My book describes how I do the work and gives direction for any parent or counselor to do the same.
