One of HollywoodÂs newest teenage actors, Thomas Kasp, has signed on with Superior Talent Agency in Hollywood for theatrical and commercial representation, joining SuperiorÂs roster of stars such as Zane Huett who plays Parker on ABCÂs hit primetime series "Desperate Housewives", Tracey Bregman who plays the character Lauren Fenmore and Patty Weaver (Gina) on CBSÂ long-running day time drama series "The Young and The Restless" as well as Steve Blackwood (Bart) on NBCÂs hit daytime soap, "Days of Our Lives."
Jody Edwards, Superior Talent President, said of Thomas "He is a very talented young man. We look forward to working with him for both theatrical and commercial productions."
Recently, bi-lingual Thomas (he speaks fluent Polish) played Willie, an Irish immigrant in a Chicago production of Elmer RiceÂs "Street Scene." He has also appeared in the independent film "Entropy," a drama. His other credits include the critically -- acclaimed European television production, "Autumn In Warsaw." Thomas has also done print modeling.
Thomas arrived recently in Los Angeles from his native Chicago and is busying himself building a career as a young actor. He is studying acting with such well-known coaches as Helen Anzalone, Creative Director of The Academy Training Center in North Hollywood and Kris Kyer of The Kyer Workshop, Hollywood. ThomasÂ entertainment career preparation includes studying drama & comedy, commercial technique, dialects, acting, singing and dancing.
Ms. Anzalone said of Thomas: "What makes Thomas special is his ability to make each role his own and let his personality shine through. I can always count on Thomas to make fun, inspired choices."
Blonde, blue-eyed Thomas has some special advice for other youngsters coming to Hollywood to pursue an entertainerÂs career. "Be ready for lots of hard work. Â a lot to learnÂ be patient. and above all be persistent and not afraid of rejection."
His favorite TV shows are the retro classics; "ThreeÂs Company," "The Carol Burnett Show" as well as "The Andy Griffith Show." "I think Don Knotts is awesome," said Thomas
Like many other young performers, Thomas spends his school days in both a structured classroom and also in a "home school" program, which lets him go our on casting calls in a few hours notice. "I think attending school like this actually helps me learn more and learn better," he said. He lives in Burbank, CA near NBC Studios with his family, his dog Sonia, and the family cat Kitty.
