John Payne, of The HerbFarm Restaurant, Takes on Executive Chef Position at Delicious Planet

From the celebrated culinary city of San Francisco to the renowned dining of the Pacific Northwest, Chef John Payne now brings his talents of the kitchen to Seattle's number one gourmet home delivery service, Delicious Planet. Under the title of Executive Chef, Payne will work closely with nutritionist and founder, Randi Carter, to prepare dinner, lunch and breakfast menu items worthy of praise in any fine dining establishment.

Prior to his recent engagement with Delicious Planet, Payne led a team of culinary experts as Executive Sous Chef at Woodinville's prominent restaurant The HerbFarm. At the HerbFarm Restaurant, Payne furthered his expertise serving under the famed Executive Chef Jerry Traunfeld whose innovative multi-course menus and expertise in the subject of culinary herbs has garnered national attention in publications such as The New York Times Magazine, Food and Wine, Bon Appetit, Gourmet, Fortune, and a variety of television and radio programs including Martha Stewart Living and The Food Network.

"I am pleased to take my culinary craft to another level with Delicious Planet," said John Payne, "we are developing healthy dining options for people who desire and appreciate good food and who see home delivery as a way to have a balanced meal without having to prepare it themselves or dine out."

When he's not collaborating with Carter on designing a delectable yet fit menu, Payne may often be sighted at the local farmers' markets selecting fresh greens, vegetables, fruits and meats for his next tempting creation.
