New York Based Jewelry Designer Angela Tong Donates to Gala Dinner Benefiting The Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids (DIFFA)

Angela Tong Designs is donating to Elle Décors Dining by Design event benefiting The Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids (DIFFA) in East Hampton, NY tonight. Angela feels that it is important to participate in this worthy cause and urges other independent designers to do the same.

Brooklyn, New York (PRWEB) July 23, 2005 -- Angela Tong of Angela Tong Designs is donating to Elle Décors Dining by Design event benefiting The Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids (DIFFA) in East Hampton, NY tonight. Angela feels that it is important to participate in this worthy cause and urges other independent designers to do the same. As a Trunkt member, she will donate two pieces as part of Trunkts gift box called "Discover Independent Design" to be auctioned off at the event.

Elle Décors Dining by Design Presented by GE is an annual traveling event that adds a twist to the traditional gala dinner. This unique event that travels around the country brings designers together and each one is presented with a space, a table, ten chairs, and unlimited artistic freedom. A silent auction is held at the event and proceeds from the auction as well as the tickets go to DIFFA, who is one of the largest funders of HIV/AIDS service and education programs in the US. Since its founding in 1984, DIFFA has mobilized the immense resources of the design communities to provide over $32 million to hundreds of AIDS organizations nationwide.

Angela Tong recently became a member of Trunkt, an elite organization of independent design entrepreneurs. With training from Massachusetts College of Art, Fashion Institute of Technology, and numerous years in the jewelry industry, Angela created Angela Tong Designs in 2004 in pursuit of hand crafting quality, fine jewelry, not just fashion pieces.
