No Cost Professional Basketball Training Opportunity Leads To 'Boot Camp' and Work With ABA Summer Pro League
The ABA Summer Pro League stages a training 'Boot Camp' as the first step in working with basketball professionals. The American Basketball Association (ABA) Summer Pro League will offer a training opportunity for candidates interested in employment in the field of professional basketball operations. The Training Opportunity Fair will be held at Westchester High School on July 28, 2005 from 11:00 a.m. -- 1:00 p.m.
Westchester, Calif. (PRWEB) July 24, 2005 -- The American Basketball Association (ABA) Summer Pro League will offer a training opportunity for candidates interested in employment in the field of professional basketball operations. The Training Opportunity Fair will be held at Westchester High School on July 28, 2005 from 11:00 a.m. -- 1:00 p.m. There is no cost for application and training. Training candidates must be at least 18 years old, a high school graduate, bring 3 resume copies and identification. Interviews will be conducted on the spot for select candidates.
Candidates admitted into the training program will attend a one to three day boot camp starting August 1. Some candidates may be offered an opportunity to work at the ABA Summer Pro League to be held August 5 -- 20.
The ABA opens its regular season November 2005. This is a great opportunity for candidates to prepare for job opportunities with ABA teams throughout Southern California. Teams will look to fill positions in Basketball Operations, Ticket Operations, Sales & Marketing, Administration, Hospitality, and Public Relations. Persons with transferable skills, education, enthusiasm, an interest in basketball, good attitude, and willingness to learn are being sought.

The ABA Summer Pro League is where Southern Californias hottest and finest teams show off their dynamic skills and their shake and bake" moves. Activities include: Youth Basketball Clinics in association with HOOP KIDS, 3-pt Shooting and Slam Dunk Exhibitions; 3-on-3 games; Lets Play H.O.R.S.E. Fan Contest; music and entertainment; team merchandise; community service resources and opportunities; prizes and excitement. Games kickoff August 5th at 2:30 p.m. with the opening ceremony starting at 1:30 p.m. Playoff and championship games are August 19th and 20th.
