California Millinery Designer Kay Durden Will Be Touring States of Texas and Louisiana With Designs And New Book.

California Millinery Designer Kay Durden will be touring the states of Texas and Louisiana with her line of designer hats, and her first book "Reflections Of The Heart".

PRWEB) July 25, 2005 -- California Millinery Designer Kay Durden will be touring Texas and Louisiana with her line of designer hats in the form of trunk shows. She will showcasing and selling her one of-a-kind designs,along with her first book "Reflections Of The Heart"(poetic verses taken from her upcoming life story "Always Between The Tracks."

During Ms.Durden's tour she will be showcasing her new line of Red hats called "Red Hatitude", along with other hats made mainly of fabric;and commonly called covered hats which can be worn year round.

Included with the line will be straws, felts,and sinamays.The Red Hat line being showcased takes its name from her Red Hat chapter "Red Hatitude Ladies of Distinction".

The Red Hat Society was founded by Sue Ellen Cooper less than ten years ago,Kay's chapter is only one of more than 40,000 others in the group. Red Hat chapters are registered in 31 countries with memberships of more than 1,000,000 women.

Ms Durden started her Compton California chapter almost a year ago and named it "Red Hatitude Ladies of Distinction." Many of the members are past or present pastor's wives, and Mrs Durden says she feels they are all ladies of distinction.

Kay says approximately one third of the ladies in her Red Hatitude chapter are also members of her Dollarhide Millinery class which she has been teaching more than three years.

Kay says she knows her students personally and considers them all sisters, mothers, and friends. Kay and "her ladies" as she calls them celebrated their first annual fashion show and brunch on June 11,2005.

On that day Red Hatitude Ladies of Distinction debuted in the City of Compton California. The event which was held at Dollarhide Neighborhood Community Center proved to be an astounding success and approximately three hundred persons attended.

Ms.Durden has been designing,selling and teaching millinery almost twenty years,and says she receives e-mails weekly from ladies seeking Millinery instructions nationally. Kay says she will also be accepting applications for upcoming 2006 classes during her tour.
