Life is Good® to Relocate Derry, NH Production and Distribution Facility to New Home in Nearby Hudson, NH
Life is good, the New England-based casual apparel company, has announced plans to relocate its production and distribution facility in Derry, New Hampshire to a more expansive facility in Hudson, New Hampshire
Derry, NH (PRWEB) July 28, 2005 -- Life is good, the New England-based casual apparel company, has announced plans to relocate its production and distribution facility in Derry, New Hampshire to a more expansive facility in Hudson, New Hampshire. The move is scheduled for August 8.
The companys tremendous sales growth and future product expansion plans necessitated the move to a bigger location. All 140 Derry-based employees will remain with the company in its new location. The new facility will continue to produce and distribute the companys full casual apparel lines for men, women, and children.
The new location at 15 Hudson Park Drive is owned by Century Park, LLC and provides 144,000 square feet, as opposed to the 40,000 square foot Derry factory. In addition, the company is currently leasing 47,000 square feet of warehouse space in two other buildings. The move will allow the company to consolidate these three separate facilities under one roof.
The current Derry facility was previously known as The Shirt Factory, which operated in Derry since 1996. Life is good began licensing some production and exclusive U.S. distribution of its products to The Shirt Factory in January, 2001. In March 2005, Life is good acquired The Shirt Factory and integrated its operations with its home office and Design Center, located in Boston.
We are incredibly excited about the new location and what it offers as Life is good continues to grow," said Bert Jacobs, president and co-founder of Life is good. The ability to relocate our facility in close proximity to the previous location was a critical part of our decision. By locating in Hudson, we will maintain the same fantastic team of employees that have contributed to the growth of Life is good."
Commitment to the community remains an integral part of the Life is good mission. Life is good will continue to be active in supporting the many non-profit organizations and associations that make a real difference in the community.
