Animals can de-hydrate rapidly; a 10 percent loss of total body water can bring on illness, and a 15 percent water loss can prove fatal. Dog owners are reminded that jogging or running with their pets require extra vigilance in terms of proper hydration.
D-PAK was introduced at the July 16 American Veterinary Medical Association's annual meeting in Minneapolis and has since distributed over 19,000 boxes.
