As the music industry has started to understand the needs of its consumers the indie labels are also embracing the new technologies being used by the "majors." Now that the peer to peer networks are finally being closed down by the copyright authorities and online companies like ITunes, Napster, MusicMatch are showing good profits it seems everyone is jumping on the bandwagon.
Silver Kamel decided that it was about time that reggae as a genre got the respect it deserves. Lumping it under the "world" label just does not do any justice to the impact that reggae has had on other genres, rap and hip-hop and the hits that mainstream artists like Eric Clapton, Blondie, and No Doubt have had. Bob Marley was voted "this centuries most influential musician."
So with this in mind we have opened our e-store to download only reggae. We will be adding trax on a daily basis as more artists sign up.
