Yolanda Tucker is becoming one of the nations most sought after motivational speakers. TuckerÂs story is truly an amazing testimony of triumph over tragedy. Tucker shares lifeÂs curve balls, let downs, and triumphs in her tear-jerking page turning new book Blessed Beyond Belief.
Tucker could have taken the easy way out. She had numerous valid excuses why she couldnÂt succeed. Tucker tried to commit suicide at the tender age of ten. By the time she was 15, Tucker had been homeless and was pregnant for the second time. At 18, Tucker found herself the parent of three children  one her own, the other two her younger brothers.
Tucker dropped out of school in the ninth grade and although she was the girl from the hood that everyone said would amount to no good she believed in herself. She reentered school the following year and today she has an MBA in International Business and is aspiring to attend law school.
"I defied all odds to become the woman I am today," stated Tucker. And that she has. After enduring and overcoming obstacles such as child molestation, abandonment, abuse, depression, drug use, an STD, dropping out of high school, teen pregnancy, and domestic violence. Indeed she has survived with an inspirational personality and a beautiful smile.
Yolanda will participate in a self-publishing panel discussion at the 2005 National Book Club Conference on Sunday, August 7, 2005 beginning at 10 a.m. The topic of the discussion will be: The rewards and challenges of publishing your own work.
