The Cast of One Of The Most Talked About New Teen TV Dramas Palmetto Pointe" Attending Teen Choice Awards"

Surf industry giants Rusty and Billabong join Nike, Rawlings and Hummer as corporate sponsors of TVs hot teen drama Palmetto Pointe"

(PRWEB) July 29, 2005 -- Fans of one of the most talked about teen TV dramas will get a peak at Palmetto Pointe," stars when they walk the red carpet for media interviews at the Teen Choice Awards 2005, Sunday, 8 p.m., August 14 on Fox. TV and pop music star Hilary Duff and comedian Rob Schneider are teaming up to host the Seventh Annual Teen Choice Awards.

The Teen Choice Awards will tape August 14 and air August 16 on Fox at 8 p.m. EST/PST. Instead of vying for little gold men statuettes, stars compete for the honor of taking home awards in the form of full-size surfboards in such categories as Male Hottie, Liplock, Breakout TV Show and Movie Chemistry. Among the night's performers will be Gwen Stefani, who is also up for four awards. In addition, she will be receiving the Visionary Award. Winners are chosen by the fans, who can cast their votes through August 4 at www.teenpeople.com/teenchoice.

Meantime, surfboard giants Rusty and Billabong have announced sponsorship of Palmetto Pointe," TVs hot new teen drama series, which debuts on August 28, airing Sunday nights at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on i, formerly the PAX TV network. Earlier this week, Nike, Rawlings and Hummer announced plans to support the show as well.

Additionally, Sky Entertainment Group and Harmony Productions launched the shows new website at www.PalmettoPointeTVShow.com. The website features colorful photos of the cast and behind-the-scenes images of filming the series.

The website also includes the story, characters, cast, media and a press section. Trailers and other interactive media will be added soon.
