Nation's Hospitals Offered New PSA Spot by G-Man Music & Radical Radio

Healthcare institutions are invited to ask for a new Public Service Announcement available from G-Man Music & Radical Radio. The spot features fluid sound effects, evocative music, and an out-of-this-world voice to take listeners inside a pregnant woman's body to illustrate the dangers of using drugs, alcohol and tobacco.

(PRWEB) August 8, 2005 -- "You're Trapped" is a 30-second radio public service announcement (PSA) about the dangers of using drugs, alcohol or tobacco when pregnant. Created by the G-Man Music & Radical Radio commercial production company, the spot is being provided gratis to hospitals and healthcare centers.

According to healthcare authorities, including the American Council for Drug Education and Health24.com, the use of alcohol, tobacco and illicit drugs increases the risk of miscarriage, premature delivery, birth deformities, and brain dysfunction such as dyslexia, autism or hyperactivity.

"We are proud to have created this dramatic PSA," states Brian Forest, Vice President of G-Man Music in Los Angeles, "and are pleased to provide it at no charge to healthcare facilities throughout the continent. At the end of each spot, Scott is recording the name and phone number or Web site of one of the top twenty teaching hospitals listed by Solucient."

Solucient maintains the country's largest healthcare database with information from more than 22 million discharged patients from 2,900 hospitals. In addition to their Top 100 lists of hospitals in various categories, the firm provides information resources to thousands of healthcare facilities and 16 of the 20 largest U.S. pharmaceutical manufacturers.

"We're using the Solucient list of teaching hospitals as a starting point but we're happy to provide a customized recording of the PSA for any healthcare organization who requests one," Scott G said.

The commercial was written and voiced by Scott G (The G-Man), who also composed the music. Scott has albums on Delvian Records and iTunes. A creative director of NARIP, a member of NARAS, and a writer for Immedia Wire Service, his primary business is G-Man Music & Radical Radio (www.gmanmusic.com) where he writes, produces, voices, and composes music for radio commercials.
