Amerex Launches Exclusive Water Mist Extinguisher for Health Care Market

New extinguisher to change marketplace with its extinguishing agent uniquely designed for health care facilities. Extinguisher will put out a fire in seconds while posing no threat to electrical equipment, personnel, or patients undergoing surgery.

TRUSSVILLE, AL (PRWEB) August 1, 2005 --- Amerex Corporation, the world's largest and most innovative manufacturer of hand portable and wheeled extinguishers for commercial and industrial applications, unveils its Water Mist Fire Extinguisher that effectively extinguishes Class A fires, where a Class C (live electrical equipment) hazard exists -- while not putting patients, elderly, and personnel members health at risk.

"We are pleased to launch this exclusive Amerex product as a critical fire protection product for the health care, hospital, and elderly care market," says Bill Beyer, President & General Manager of Amerex. "Each year, we hear numerous stories about hospital fires and the complications of using a dry chemical or clean agent fire extinguisher in those situations due to the resulting effect of cardiac and respiratory complications. Amerex launches this unique extinguisher to forever change the way fires are manually extinguished in all health care settings," adds Beyer.

Developed with the same caliber of quality and dependability as Amerex's other fire protection products, the Amerex Water Mist Fire Extinguisher is weather and corrosion resistant and uses a water-based, nontoxic firefighting agent that does not pose respiratory or ventilation concerns to health care patients.

This fire extinguisher unequivocally offers the only viable extinguishing agent for operating rooms and health care environments," says Craig Voelkert, VP of Sales, Special Hazards, for Amerex. The Water Mist Extinguisher is, by far, the safest extinguisher for human exposure due to its unique, fine spray of de-ionized water which leaves no residue, is non-toxic, and will not result in contamination."
Is the ultimate extinguisher for class A fires, especially where a potential Class C ?

Approved by Underwriters Laboratories, the water mist extinguisher is available in both 6 and 9 liter units and can discharge a distance of 10 -- 12 feet. It also is made of all non-magnetic construction and tested by an independent lab to be safe in a Tesla-3 MRI environment. Additionally, the water mist extinguisher is user-friendly as its attachment wand provides greatest operator safety, maximum visibility during discharge, and requires minimal training.

The Amerex Water Mist Fire Extinguisher is now available through national and international distributors. To receive a list of distributors in your area, contact us via PRWEB's secure email portal.
