"The Search" is a nationwide talent contest created to enhance the nation's awareness of Heart Disease, Diabetes and Breast Cancer.
(PRWEB) August 1, 2005 -- This nationwide talent competition was created to enhance the nation's awareness of Heart Disease, Diabetes and Breast Cancer through a series of fun and exciting events. A portion of the proceeds will benefit each. We're looking for vocalists with a personal connection to these diseases to participate; however this is an open competition. Each Adult Grand Prize winner will receive $3,000 and second place winner will get $1,500, and each Junior Grand Prize winner will receive $1,500 and second place winner in the Junior Division will get $750 There will be six preliminary rounds and one championship round. Each preliminary round will have two divisions.
Adult Division 1:
Category A: 18-25
Category B: 26-44
Category C: 45+
Junior Division 2:
Category A: 9-12
Category B: 13- 17
Two finalists will be chosen from each category of Divisions 1. Division 2 will have three finalists from each category with a total of 12. The audience will vote for their favorite vocalist, rappers/poets in each category with the grand prize winners of each preliminary round flying back to Chicago for the Final Competition. A member of the theater audience will receive a round-trip airfare ticket to a destination of their choice in the continental United States, hotel accommodations included.
