Alpaca Direct Launches Exclusive Line of Peruvian Pima Cotton Sleepwear

New E-Commerce website (www.alpacadirect.com) offers Quality Peruvian Pima Cotton Sleepwear and Easy online shopping experience

Brentwood, CA (PRWEB) August 3, 2005 -- Alpaca Direct (www.alpacadirect.com), an online provider of Natural Fiber apparel and gifts, today announced the introduction of a line of high quality Peruvian pima cotton sleepwear. These unique styles reach a new level of luxury in sleepwear for the North American market. Discerning shoppers are beginner to discover the many unique benefits of authentic Peruvian Pima cotton apparel. This luxury fiber has a silky soft feel as a result of the excellent growing conditions in the northern coastal valleys of Peru where it is cultivated. Peruvian pima cotton is harvested by hand, resulting in a brilliant white shade that can be easily dyed. Cotton harvested industrially leaves scratchy impurities, which affect smoothness and creates a yellowish color to the fiber. The response has been phenomenal! When women discover Peruvian pima cotton, they become lifelong customers!" says, Kelley Hobart one of the founders of the Silicon Valley dot com venture. Peruvian pima cotton has been somewhat of a secret among Americans since most retailers have not offered natural fiber Peruvian Pima products due to its exclusiveness, limited availability and large influx of lower cost cotton from China.

Alpaca Direct teamed up with American designers to introduce the public to fresh colors and styles combined with the incredible natural benefits of Peruvian pima cotton. The result is a line of sleepwear deemed the softest, most luxurious cotton sleepwear available. Our goal is to educate the market about Peruvian pima cotton and Alpaca apparel. Most people do not realize these natural fibers are much stronger and more comfortable than the mass merchandise products flooding the store shelves at national retailers." Alpaca Direct is addressing the market by making the entire line of Peruvian Pima Cotton and Alpaca apparel available online, in popular American styles through a highly usable retail website. Most retail web sites are very difficult to use and have a high abandon rate. To solve this issue, the software design team at Alpacadirect has focused on usability of the core shopping experience.

"Our goal is to target a specific market niche, usability test the shopping experience and refine our approach based on user feedback." Specialty apparel retail sites like Victoria Secrets and LL Bean have been leading the growth segments in the elusive e-commerce market by using a similar online strategy. It is all about the basics... Great products, competitive pricing, excellent customer service all delivered in an effective online shopping experience" says Mrs. Hobart.
