Digital Signage software uses the internet to enable the distribution of content files such as full motion video, still images and touch screen applications to typically flat panel displays in retail locations. By using this technology, companies can control when and where their media is displayed and then monitor the effect of that media. The digital signage industry is expected to reach U$ 2 Billion by 2009.
