Sunrise, FL (PRWEB) August 6, 2005
Learn.com®, the leader in creating and projecting power-on-demand e-learning delivering LMS software as a service, today announced a Conversion Allowance Program* (CAP) for SumTotal and Pathlore customers put at financial risk by SumTotalÂs acquisition of Pathlore, made public on August 3, 2005.
Under the Learn.com CAP program, Learn.com will absorb the costs to migrate from the SumTotal Systems Inc. LMS (Nasdaq: SUMTE) or PathloreÂs LMS to the award-winning Learn.com LearnCenter.® The CAP Program includes migration of clients existing and historical training data, data conversion, user navigation design, implementation, and deployment services. The CAP may be applied to LearnCenter premise-based or Software as a Service contracts.
ÂWe want Pathlore and SumTotal System customers to know that they have an alternative to having to pay to upgrade to SumTotal 7, which currently has less than 40 deployed customers, or experiencing a dearth of new functionality in the interim. Based on a recent industry study, upgrading an enterprise LMS could cost three times the softwareÂs cost in services alone. Learn.comÂs proven Âsoftware as a service ASP solution allows our clients to fully outsource the entire learning management function and rapidly deploy the solution while minimizing transition time and cost and accelerating deployment time and business results, said Jim Riley, President and CEO of Learn.com.
Josh Bersin, in his recent LMS Satisfaction Study on Enterprise LMS companies, said: ÂLearn.com provides an end-to-end solution that includes development tools, performance support tools, and a highly configurable and customizable enterprise-class LMS. They are the only provider that delivers this solution in both an ASP and a licensed model. Learn.comÂs exceptionally high customer loyalty and high ratings in ease of ownership indicate that they have developed an easy-to-use, easy-to-configure solution that enables customers to easily manage and configure their own LMS. It appears that Learn.com understands the biggest challenges customers face in owning and managing an LMS and are addressing them.Â
ÂOur clients are among the happiest and most loyal in the industry, and we want to reach out to Pathlore and SumTotal System customers who may be concerned about the future of their current LMS and let them know that they have a viable alternative to being forced to convert to the SumTotal 7 LMS solution. The Learn.com team is standing ready to demonstrate why we stand alone in customer loyalty in the Enterprise Class Bersin & Associates LMS Customer Satisfaction Study, said JW Ray, Chief Operating Officer of Learn.com.
ÂWe encourage any Pathlore customer to schedule a free LearnCenter demonstration and business requirements consultation with Learn.comÂs e-learning consultants before renewing support and maintenance agreements. This is a critical decision that has widespread implications through their entire organization and we want PathloreÂs customers to know we will do everything we can to ensure that they will not be neglected, said Don Cook, Vice President of Marketing for Learn.com.
*CAP costs cannot exceed 50% of the cost of the licensed software purchased from Learn.com and all services to be provided by Learn.com employees. Offer expires November 30, 2005.
