Los Angeles, Calif. (PRWEB) August 7, 2005 -- Alex A. Quinn, son of the late cinema legend and two-time Academy Award® winning actor, Anthony Quinn debuts alongside other celebrity offspring in E! Entertainment Television's new one-hour reality series, "Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive," premiering Sunday, Aug. 7, 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET/PT.
Watch as these privileged kids trade in their fancy cars, million dollar homes and designer outfits for horses, a ranch and a pair of cowboy boots.
The series will feature a unique combination of action, drama and comedy as the privileged brood of famous actors, musicians, high-powered media executives, entrepreneurs and international royalty head to the open range. These celebrity kids saddle-up to show viewers what they are really made as they brave the rugged West, bad weather, moody cows, and sometimes each other, during a 100-mile cattle drive on a Colorado ranch. See what happens when these kids realize there are no silver spoons in the Wild West. Giddy up!
Alongside Alex are Haley Giraldo (daughter of rocker Pat Benatar), Kourtney Kardashian (daughter of music mogul/attorney Robert Kardashian), Courtenay Semel (daughter of Yahoo! CEO Terry Semel), Noah Blake (son of actor Robert Blake), Brittny Gastineau (daughter of NY "glamourite" Lisa Gastineau and former NY Jet's Mark Gastineau, "The Gastineau Girls"), George Foreman III (son of boxer George Foreman), Shana Ferrigno (daughter of "The Hulk" Lou Ferrigno), Manhattan's "It" boy Fabian Basabe and Honorable Alexander Clifford (son of The 14th Baron The Lord Thomas Hugh John Clifford of Chudleigh, Devon).
"This was an experience of a lifetime. To be a cowboy for a month in the beautiful mountains of Colorado is something I'll certainly never forget as long as I live," said Alex A. Quinn. "It was definitely a grueling adventure and at times quite emotional, but the friendships and the video memories I'll have forever. I'd gladly do it again tomorrow. Sign me up for season 2!"
After spending a few days out in the wild with these kids, it's clear that we have a dynamic cast," said executive producer Joe Simpson. As these privileged youngsters begin to work together, as well as compete against one another, they'll learn if they have what it takes to stand on their own two feet."
"It was really a wild experience watching my peers discover what life is like out on the range," said executive producer Justin Berfield. I think it is definitely an eye-opener for most of them. It's always exciting to watch as people are stripped of luxuries."
"Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica" executive producer Joe Simpson, "Malcolm in the Middle's" Justin Berfield and his producing partner Jason Felts of J2TV, have joined forces with Brady Connell (two time Emmy® Award-winner for The Amazing Race") and Jim Jusko of Base Camp Films (Survivor," Outback Jack") to create the new eight episode reality series.
Simpson will serve as executive producer on the series (he is also the executive producer of "The Ashlee Simpson Show" and the new MTV series "Score," as well as numerous specials for ABC). J2TV is a newly formed television production company created by Berfield and writer/producer Felts (who also serve as executive producers on the series). Currently, Berfield stars as "Reese," the wisecracking, big-bully second child on FOX's Emmy® Award-winning series "Malcolm in the Middle." Ann Lewis, Vice President, Development, E! Networks, is overseeing the project for E! Entertainment Television.
