Loraas Passes Certified Kitchen Designer Exam
Dawn Loraas of Interiors 3, Ltd. Recently passed the Certified Kitchen Designer certification exam (CKD) administered by the National Kitchen and Bath Association.
(PRWEB) August 7, 2005 -- Dawn Loraas of Interiors 3, Ltd. Recently passed the Certified Kitchen Designer certification exam (CKD) administered by the National Kitchen and Bath Association. The CKD exam is a rigorous ten hour exam in which the applicant must create a full set of construction documents for a residential kitchen which encompasses all applicable building, electrical and plumbing codes as well as a written exam which tests all aspects of design.
Loraas is only one of three designers north of the Twin Cities to hold such an esteemed certification. In order to become a CKD, a person must have at least seven years experience, including formal education.
Ms. Loraas owns Interiors 3, Ltd. a design firm located in Duluth that specializes in residential and corporate interior design. She received her interior design degree from the University of Minnesota as well as an accounting degree from the University of North Dakota and is an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA).
