The San Diego Film Festival, an annual celebration of film produced by the San Diego Film Foundation, has selected Gable-Cook-Schmid Public Relations (GCS-PR) to direct the public relations and strategic marketing communications efforts for the 2005 run. The Festival, held September 21-25 in the Gaslamp Quarter, is a five-day competitive event that features more than 75 films, nightly parties and special events as well as workshops, panels and a national screenwriting conference.

GCS will council the Festival on overall communication strategy, serve as publicity liaison to celebrities and filmmakers, and manage media relations with local news and national trade media. Jennifer Chidester, GCS director, will lead the San Diego Film Festival campaign.
