Clevelands undisputed Mecca of underground comedy, the Bassa Vita Lounge presents the Ninja Comedy Death Match". 10 brave local comedians will do battle in a standup comedy contest so terrifying, so brutal and so side-splittingly funny that only those with strong constitutions should attend.

In a unique 1-night, 3-round format, 10 comedians will utilize their arsenal of quick wit and deadly sarcasm against 10 comedy topics -- with minimal preparation time. No tired old material here -- every joke, every bit, every Ninja maneuver they attempt will be as fresh as fine sushi and as sharp as a samurai blade. A random draw will determine the stage order and the comedians will then strategically pick topics to suit their strengths and defeat their rivals.

The show will feature some of the best Cleveland area comedians such as Jeff Blanchard, Joe Howard, Dave Arena, Jim Tews, Brian Wehman, Craig Doyle, John Wellington, Mike Melville, Mike Wypasek and Bill Squire and hosted by the very funny Joe Hannum. These comedians have performed at the Cleveland Improv, Hilarities and many other venues, now they will face unspeakable challenges in this battle for comedic supremacy.

Three celebrity judges will score this contest and decide the fates of the competitors. Four comedians will advance to round 2, two will reach the final and go head-to-head but only one will survive. (The others will be summarily beaten and made fun of by their fellow comedians.)

The winner of the Ninja Comedy Death Match will receive a $100 cash prize and earn the title of Ninja Comedy Master".
