9/11s Fallen Heroes to be honored by massive Mustang caravan

Miami, Florida (PRWEB) August 13, 2005 -- Never forget! Are the words that are going to emblaze the windows of potentially over 200 Ford Mustangs as they cruise from West Palm Beach, Florida to the Florida Keys this coming 9/11 Anniversary in an effort to raise money and pay tribute to the victims families of the Sept. 11 tragedy.

The Caravan will be beginning in Jupiter, Florida with the Palm Beach Mustang Club, picking up several other club chapters on the way down, and ending at Holiday Isle in Islamorada who will be hosting a Mustang car show in support of the event.

Several of South Floridas Mustang Clubs from West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Miami are banding together to make this a memorable event. The caravan is being hosted and coordinated by members of SouthFloridaStangs.net and MotorHead Cty, (www.motorheadcity.com) a local Internet community who consist of over 500 local members from all walks of life who all share a passion for this 40 year old auto, and an even stronger passion for this cause.

Ben Launerts a moderator with SouthFloridaStangs.net says: Our goal is to pay tribute to the fallen in the most unique way possible, and what better way than a caravan of over a hundred unique versions of Americas favorite automobile, with all cars proudly waving the American flag."

Several Mustangs will even be arranged in a red, white and blue theme.

SouthFloridaStangs.net expects this to be a landmark tribute and hopes to raise a significant amount of money for The National Fallen Firefighters Association", a national charity that supports families of the Fallen and even offers College Scholarships for their children.

The club is raising money by accepting donations from members, raffle donations and corporate sponsorships from Moroso Motorsports Park, Wayne Akers Ford, Steeda Autosports, MotorHead Tools, Total Mustang Supply and Prospect Muffler with more to follow.
