International Broadcast of the Reading of the Preamble To be Read by General Tommy Franks

(PRWEB) August 16, 2005 -- President George W. Bush signed bill number "Public Law 108-447" on Dec. 8, 2004 establishing Sept. 17 as Constitution Day (This year it will be observed on Friday the 16th so that school's may participate in the activity).

Constitution Day, Inc has been celebrating for the past eight years by simultaneously reciting the Preamble to the US Constitution on a national teleconference call with all the schools and the 50 Governor's offices. Those dignitaries who have previously led the Preamble are President George Bush Sr, US Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy, Supreme Court Justice of Alabama Roy Moore and Governor Ed Rendell of Pennsylvania.

This year, General Tommy Franks will lead the preamble on a webcast from www.constitutionday.com so that not only schools may participate but the military personnell at home and abroad. Any TV or Radio Station that will broadcast the Preamble on Sept. 16th will immediately be listed on the website and be sent the DVD to broadcast on Constitution Day.

It will be a first for Amercica. We urge you to please help us publicize the event to the press, Radio, TV, Schools, the military and (churches - so they may ring bells across America)

There will be a celebration on Sept. 16th at Knott's Berry Farm's exact replica of Independence Hall (as part of the annual festivities, starting this year) at 11 AM - gratis. Please see www.constitutionday.com for more information.
