Money Remittance Expert Manuel Orozco to Present at Financial DNA's Unbanked Financial Services Innovation 2005 Conference

The conference is to be held on September 14, 2005 at the Julia Morgan Ballroom of San FranciscoÂ?s MerchantsÂ? Exchange Building.

Financial DNA, LLC today announced that noted money remittance industry expert Manuel Orozco of the United States Foreign Service Institute will participate as a keynote speaker for the company's upcoming conference entitled Unbanked Financial Innovation 2005. The conference is to be held on September 14, 2005 at the Julia Morgan Ballroom of San Francisco's Merchants' Exchange Building.

Mr. Orozco's presentation will focus on the structure on the global remittance marketplace, with specific emphasis on remittances to Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). More specifically, his analysis will stress the challenges and opportunities present in the marketplace in terms of the demand for remittance transfers, the nature of that demand, the interrelationship between money transfers and financial services and the importance of alternative sending methodologies. His comments will kick off a full day of presentations from a variety of leading innovators in the unbanked financial services marketplace, including Euronet Worldwide, Wildcard Systems/eFunds, Dollar Financial and Fair Isaac, among many others.

Mr. Orozco is a Senior Associate at the Inter-American Dialogue, where he serves as executive director of the Remittances and Rural Development project. He also serves as chair of Central America and the Caribbean at the US Foreign Service Institute and senior researcher at the Institute for the Study of International Migration at Georgetown University.
