Childrens Good Manners Program Sweeping the Nation

Schools, scout troops and after-school programs across the nation are gearing up for a positive year by using a creative good manners program that combines games and crafts with lessons on good manners. Called the Tadpole Dreams Good Manners Program, the activities are perfect for boys and girls in elementary and middle school.

(PRWEB) August 17, 2005 -- The popular Tadpole Dreams Good Manner's program combines a friendly, lighthearted 48-page good manners handbook and a curriculum containing more than 50 games, crafts, and activities designed to accompany each section. Each can be purchased separately or the program in its entirety online at www.tadpoledreams.org.

The curriculum and handbook include detailed lesson plans and games designed to reinforce interview skills, telephone manners, and cell phone and e-mail etiquette. They offer instruction regarding thank-you notes, proper introductions, table manners, host and guest skills, polite conversation, how to behave in the classroom, and cafeteria and school assemblies.

We have private schools, public schools, recreation programs and camps from coast to coast using our program. They tell us its fun and easy and the kids have a great time," said program Vice President Denise Rosson. Weve been featured in newspapers and on television shows because of our unique vision on how to teach and reinforce the concept of good manners in fast food kind of world."

We reviewed the program last summer and thought it had merit," said Maureen Moran, Branch Chief of the office of Academic Policy for the Maryland State Department of Education. Tadpole Dreams is a great resource for teachers, guidance counselors and other youth leaders."

Written and taught by professional middle school educators, the Tadpole Dreams Good Manners Program has been used successfully in every socio-economic environment from city housing projects to elite summer camps.
