Paragon Group Arranges Lease in Holtsville, NY for Homeland Security Firm Carco Group
Carco Group, Inc., a leading, multinational fraud detection company that provides homeland security services to Fortune 1000 companies, has signed a long-term lease for 24,000 square feet at 5000 Corporate Drive in Holtsville, NY, in a deal arranged by Syosset, NY-based Paragon Group LLC.
SYOSSET, NY (PRWEB) August 17, 2005 -- Carco Group, Inc., a leading, multinational fraud detection company, has signed a long-term lease for 24,000 square feet at 5000 Corporate Drive in Holtsville, NY, in a deal arranged by Syosset, NY-based Paragon Group LLC.
The privately held company, which provides homeland security services to Fortune 1000 companies, including background screening, investigative and security services, will move in November into what is now raw space that once had been slated for expansion of the regional processing center of the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS, which shut down part of its operations in January, 2004, vacated 135,000 square feet of the 248,000-square-foot building, owned by Atlanta, GA-based Wells Real Estate Investment Trust, and continues to occupy 60,000 square feet.
The abundance of parking and the quality of the building made this an attractive property," said Paragon principal Jeffrey Nemshin, who along with Paragons Gerald Widen, negotiated the lease on behalf of Carco. Wells was represented by Joseph

The two-story building, constructed in 2000, contains 238,400 square feet along with 1,875 parking spaces and a separate 9,000-square-foot daycare facility, is located less than a mile from the Long Island Expressway.
Carco, which has about 120 employees on Long Island, presently occupies about the same amount of space at the Flowerfield Industrial Park in St. James, NY, where it has leased space since its founding in 1977. Its current lease expires in November.
