Mark Corbae Named General Manager of Allison & Partners San Diego Office

Allison & Partners today announced that Mark Corbae has joined the firmÂ?s San Diego office as General Manager. In this newly created position, Corbae will oversee new business development and client support initiatives for the strategic communications and public relations firm.

“Mark has more than 18 years of experience in providing strategic marketing and public relations support to technology, medical, and professional services clients, which makes him a valuable addition to our San Diego office,” said Scott Allison, president and founder of Allison & Partners. “Allison & Partners already has a strong presence in New York and Los Angeles and was recently ranked number ten of the 100 fastest-growing firms by the San Francisco Business Times. We expect Mark to help Allison & Partners’ achieve the same kind of success in the San Diego market.”

As communications advisor to executive management at numerous firms, Corbae has executed strategic marketing and media programs for industry leaders such as IBM, Cisco, Arthur Anderson, and Philips Magnavox, as well as pre-IPO startups. He began his career in media relations at NYNEX Corporation (now Verizon), and later served as Vice President, High Technology Group for the New York-based public relations firm Makovsky & Company.

Corbae will also help build Allison & Partners’ health sciences practice, drawing on his pharmaceutical and biotech communications experience, which includes executive positions at Nycomed, the world’s leading manufacturer of diagnostic imaging, and San Diego-based Advanced Tissue Sciences.

Prior to joining Allison & Partners, Corbae operated his own marketing/PR firm. Corbae holds a BA degree in communications from William Paterson University.
