The Advantage Group Announces Version 2.0 of Their Enterprise Device Manager Software
Enterprise Device Manager is an enterprise-level monitoring, control and inventory application. This web-based software allows users to monitor and control up to one thousand devices from any computer on your company intranet. The latest version of the software provides a number of key functionality improvements including enhanced reporting, alarm management, support for application monitoring and the ability to drill down to the rack level to see a detailed view of all rack equipment.

Enterprise Device Manager is an enterprise-level monitoring, control and inventory application. This web-based software allows users to monitor and control up to one thousand devices from any computer on your company intranet.
The latest version of the software provides a number of key functionality improvements including enhanced reporting, alarm management, support for application monitoring and the ability to drill down to the rack level to see a detailed view of all rack equipment.

Version 2.0 adds the following features:
| | - Support for application and system resource monitoring using Enterprise Application Monitor
- Rack View (see picture) -- drill down to the rack level to see detailed information about the rack and all devices it contains; drag and drop support for reconfiguring your rack; support for zero U devices
- Alarm Time Management -- Send alarms to the right people based on their work schedule (for example, if it is between 8 am - 5 pm on Monday-Friday, page the data center manager; if it is a weekend, page the on-call operator)
- Alarm Escalation -- If an event has not been cleared after a selected amount of time, escalate the alarm to another person, such as a supervisor
- Enhanced User Management and Security -- Limit which users can control and view which devices; add support for user groups to ease configuration
- Enhanced inventory management
- SNMP trap alerts
- Broadcast alarm messages
- Manually add devices such as printers and IP cameras
- Enhanced reporting -- configure recurring reports to be sent automatically via email
