SANYO North America Corporation (SNA), a subsidiary of SANYO Electric Co., Ltd., proudly announces the appointment of Mr. Hideo Nakai as President.

At the July 8th 2005 Board of Directors' Meeting in San Diego, the twenty-five year veteran of SANYO assumed the responsibility of leading the SANYO North America Group of companies which consists of 12 companies.

SNA is the North American corporate office of SANYO Electric Co., Ltd., which is one of the global consumer electronics giants with consolidated sales of 23,151 million yen (FY ended March 31st 2005.) SNA was incorporated in 1986 and the combined annual sales for its group of companies exceeds $3 Billion dollars.
