The National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) Chicago Chapter is dedicated to promoting Hispanic leadership and providing members with programs and events that help them meet the challenges of the 21st century economy. In 2005, the chapter board worked diligently to establish and strengthen relationships with companies and organizations to provide members with more network opportunities and events. In addition, the chapter celebrated the completion of its 14th year sponsoring the Summer Enrichment Program (SEP), a 6-week program offered to talented local high school students for the purpose of promoting higher education.

To recognize the 2005 accomplishments and draw attention to the corporate investment in NSHMBA, the Chicago Chapter will host its 17th annual fundraising gala, NSHMBALL on Thursday, September 8, 2005 from 5:30 to 9 p.m., at the Hyatt Regency, 151 E. Wacker Dr., Chicago. NSHMBALL will help to demonstrate how corporate sponsorship continues to be vital to the professional development of NSHMBA members and the Chicago community.

This year’s theme, “Diverse Leadership for a Diverse Economy” will endorse the importance of Hispanic professionals in “Corporate America” and highlight diversity as a key to bottom line success. The evenings’ keynote speaker will be Terry Zink, President & CEO Fifth Third Bank- Chicago.
