Long Beach, Calif. (PRWEB) August 19, 2005
Cardboard Robot (CBR), an emerging lifestyle and contemporary fashion brand, reported today that company co-owner Mason Brown was visited in the office by Local & Federal law enforcement agents after he was spotted taking photographs of an oil refinery as part of his ongoing research and development efforts for the brand's artwork, graphics, and designs.
ÂPeople familiar with Cardboard Robot know that a lot of our imagery is a satirical look at technology and how it impacts everyday lifeÂ, said Mason. ÂThe area we are based out of (Long Beach, CA) is filled with amazing examples of technology gone wrong. I'm always out taking pictures and I guess I just didn't notice the black sedan behind me this time.Â
The agents stated that Mason had not broken any laws, and that the visit was just a routine interview. Mason then treated them to a tour of the warehouse and art gallery/foyer, where the agents where overheard by other staff members complimenting Mason on his artwork.
Cardboard Robot is a Men's and Women's clothing line designed by Mason Brown and Rob Dubar, two veterans of the Orange County, CA lifestyle clothing and soft-goods industry. What started as an 8mm film short about the excessive age of technology, the clothing line has developed into a collection of tops, jackets, sweatshirts, and accessories. Cardboard Robot is currently available at Active Ride Shop, Metropark, Zumies, and over 150 boutiques nationwide.
Cardboard Robot will be showing its Spring 2006 line at the POOL Trade Show at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas from August 29th through August 31st, 2005.
