ColumbusBlack.com. will officially launch its website on Friday, August 26, 2005 with a full weekend of events codenamed ONLINE, LOG ON, DOWNLOAD, and SAVE. Friday's kick off event ONLINE will be hosted by Brownstone on the main, 122 E. Main Street at 4 p.m. ColumbusBlack.com has quickly become the local and national source of news and entertainment for the African American community. Since its inception, the site has already received over 800,000 hits.

(PRWEB) August 23, 2005 -- ColumbusBlack.com a trademark company of Lloyds of Columbus, LLC, will officially launch its website on Friday, August 26, 2005. Established May 5, 2005 by company CEO Kevin Lloyd, ColumbusBlack.com has quickly become the local and national source of news and entertainment for the African American community. Since its inception, the site has already received over 800,000 hits.

In an effort to bring awareness to the site and resources within the community, ColumbusBlack.com will host an exciting weekend of events. Friday will kick off the event with ONLINE, an interactive informational reception. The affair will be hosted by Brownstone on the main, located at 122 E. Main Street and will began at 4 p.m. Guests will have an opportunity to learn more about ColumbusBlack.com and various other community resources. Closing the evening will be the official launch party at the Brownstone; Doors will open at 10 p.m.

On Saturday, August 27, 2005, ColumbusBlack.com along with M/I Homes will host LOG ON, a home buying and investment seminar from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place at The Columbus Urban League, located at 788 Mount Vernon Avenue. Later in the evening, ColumbusBlack.com will feature, DOWNLOAD, a late night excursion. The event will take place at The Standard Lounge, located at 303 South Front Street. The affair will feature up and coming, Nu Soul artist Gordon Chambers, DJ Krate Digga, door prizes and much more. Doors open at 9 p.m.

Concluding the weekend long events, SAVE, a day of spiritual growth, renewal and nourishment will be hosted by the First Church of God, located at 3480 Refugee Road.
