(PRWEB) August 19, 2005 -- The Michael Jackson Just the Facts Festival: An Examination of the Trial of the Century is an independent Internet film and feature article festival and competition with a focus on the facts about the Michael Jackson trial.
• What was the evidence?
• What exactly did witnesses testify to?
• Why was he acquitted on all counts?
These are only a few of the questions Festival participants will seek to answer with just the facts.
Its that simple.
The entry fee is $0 USD (Free) for a 1st Prize of $500 USD.
Public Voting Starts November 14, 2005. Entry Deadline is October 31, 2005.
Festival Director Esha Thornton says, "The objective of the festival is to gather as many factually based films and feature articles as possible and make them available to the public at the Festival's website and hopefully beyond."
Anyone can submit an entry to the Festival. Experienced and non experienced filmmakers and writers are welcome. Entries may remain anonymous or a pseudonym used if desired. 1st Prize winner names will be announced.
Film and feature article entries will be judged on the following criteria:
*Factually focused (no commentaries or fan dedications)
*References: All entries must base information from court transcripts, reasonably reliable interviews/ sources, and court documents. (A reference list must accompany entry.)
*Quality of production
*Depth of information
*Intuitiveness and clarity of presentation
*Overall creativity
Film and article entries can focus on any particular aspect of the trial or examine the entire trial as a whole. It can be creative, but must have just the facts.
