The evening will be an intimate 60 seat in-the-round experience housed again this year at the JABU Center in Sarasota. Last year's first season was a quick sell out for all nine performances and audience reaction was phenomenal.

Playwrights included locals Larry Parr, Jere Lamp, Jaime Tintor (FSU Asolo Conservatory student), Geoffrey Owens (of the Cosby Show and formerly the FSU Asolo Conservatory) and Michael McKeever, award winning playwright associated with The New Theater in Coral Gables with plays staged Off Broadway and throughout the U.S. and Europe.

Each evening will consist of eight short one act plays and an incredible monologue. Beginning September 30th and running through October 16th with shows at 7:30 PM on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Shows start at 7:30 and run approximately 2 hours, including intermission.

Tickets are $12 in advance and further information is available at the web site.

SAW was created by Rick Hughes in 2004 when casual conversations with a few local actors exposed the need for new venues for local actors to ply their trade. Hughes hired Tom Demenkoff, who had just completed a teaching fellowship at Florida Studio Theater, as the 2004 Artistic Director. Through Demenkoff a collaboration was formed, for the first season, with The Drilling Company, a NYC theater company featuring plays originally commissioned by The Drilling Company.

SAW has cast this years' production with some of the areas finest actors (visit the website for cast list and bios) and rehearsals have begun. Be sure to order tickets early as last year SAW sold out in advance!
