The Black College Expo is Coming to Houston, TX, and New York City, NY

It has been announced that the 2006 Black College Expo has added an additional two cities to its upcoming tour, Houston, Texas and New York City, NY.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 20, 2005 -- Finally, after much anticipation, the 2006 Annual Black College Expo (BCE) is coming to Houston, Texas at the Reliant Center on April 1, 2006 and New York on September 30, 2006 at the Jacobs Javitts Center.

The Black College Expo is one of the most exciting college Expos of the year for thousands of students and parents. The BCE features over 50 HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges & Universities), students and parents receive pertinent information on college admission, SAT & ACT preparation, and financial aid and scholarship opportunities. Several colleges will be accepting students on the spot with official transcripts and SAT/ACT scores. The BCE has given away over $100,000 in scholarships. "I am excited about the Black College Expo coming to Houston and New York. We have gotten a lot of requests to bring the expo to Houston and a slew of emails from New York. When the Black College Expo began in 2000 less than 3% of enrollment came from California. Now, almost 6 years later, the Black College Expo, which visits 7 cities annually, Los Angeles, Oakland, Atlanta, Chicago, Washington DC, Houston, and New York has increased those numbers tremendously.
