With the launch of the new Website at http://www.progcon.org, Progressive Conservatism, the application of five core modern values, offers British politics a unique opportunity to restore the nation's natural centre-right balance.

With the British Tory party close to losing its position as the second political force in Britain, veering further away from the centre towards their far right core vote, Britain is suffering from a vacuum in the centre-right, the natural balance of British values. This shift has left the centre-right, for decades the natural balance of UK values and opinions, without representation.

”Never have the British people been so poorly served by their politicians and this was clearly reflected in the poor turn out for the recent General Election,” said Chad Noble, founder of the UK arm of this growing international progressive conservatism movement.

”The British public have been left with little choice but to re-elect a Government that has been discredited and exposed as a vehicle to retain power rather than promote values because the opposition has been seen to be ineffective and unfit for Government. Given the choice of a Tory Party that has lost all sense of its core values and place in the 21st century, a Liberal Party that shows conviction but flip-flops on major decisions and the incumbent Government, the people, assisted by our skewed electoral system have been left without true representation.”

The Progressive Conservatism Website details the simple and clear set of five core values that drives all principles and policies. With the focus on values and not simply catchy policies, the site brings the values of a movement that has been rapidly growing in the USA and Canada to the UK.

”The failure of the Tory Party to actually protect and promote the values that bind our society together has broken bond between Conservatism and the Conservative Party. Despite eight years of New Labour spin, the Tories are as loathed as they were in 1997,” Noble continued.

Progressive Conservatism initially emerged from the USA as a set of strong values to challenge both the far right wing bias of the Bush administration and the vague and shifting values of Liberal alternatives. The strength of the progressive conservative message, to promote core values and to ensure that all principles and policies are based within these values has slowly taken a hold not just in the USA, but also in Canada and now the United Kingdom.

”The five core values of Progressive Conservatism are a solid basis to not just win elections, but to promote values for now and decades to come. Power without principle is eroding our society and it is time that Britain was offered the opportunity to restore its natural values balance.”

”Our website clearly defines the five core values upon which Progressive Conservatism is based, and clearly details how such policies as the Flat Tax, electoral reform and opposition to ID cards and pay-per-drive fit within these values.”

The UK Progressive Conservative site is now fully open with a study of the five core values, a daily blog and forum to discuss and debate this exciting political movement that seeks to challenge and surpass both the far-right and left-wing Parties.
