Midwest Area Adventure Operator Chicagoland Skydiving Center, First North American Company to Try Revolutionary New Extreme Sports Online Video Portal

Midwest area adventure operator Chicagoland Skydiving Center, is the first North American skydiving school to subscribe to a revolutionary new webcast media - RealXstream.com

(PRWEB) August 24, 2005 -- The new extreme sports video portal is a product of a new Australian/Swiss partnership called RealXstream (www.realxstream.com)

The new website is the first of its kind in the world, and as the name suggests, will stream video of real peoples first time extreme sports adventures to family and friends all over the world. (Streaming" is the process of sending video over the Internet in real time).

This new service is a great addition to our companys profile" said Mr. Todd Davis of Chicagoland Skydiving Center. Many of our customers come to Hinckley, IL from all over the World to skydive at our great skydiving center. Now we can show their friends and family, no matter where they are, video of the experience as soon as our customers are safely back on the ground. We are very pleased to have been selected as the first company in North America to subscribe to this service".

Mike McGrath, former member of the Australian skydiving and skysurfing team, and creator of RealXstream came up with the idea for the site. Our initial idea was to increase the profile of our sport in the eyes of the worldwide public. Skydiving is a really exciting sport, and over the past decade or so it is become extremely safe. Unfortunately, the sport itself receives very little attention from the media, because it is so far removed from the public view. Hopefully Xstream can change that".

Our hope and vision for Xstream is to introduce people to the sport by presenting their tandem skydive video on the web. Then offer them the opportunity to stick around and watch videos of other cool aspects of skydiving, such as skysurfing, (jumping out of a plane with a surfboard attached to your feet), or freeflying". (The latest and greatest form of skydiving in 3 dimensions).

Hopefully we can attract enough eyeballs to the site so that we can introduce sponsorship and advertising into the equation. That way, we can help skydiving teams with much needed competition and training expenses. American and other national skydiving teams can spend upwards of hundreds of thousands of dollars to train, travel overseas, and compete. Right now it all comes out of their pockets and its a huge commitment!"

We are hopeful of attracting some pretty substantial advertising revenue once we are up and running. Skydiving is such a positive experience for people to have, and the people who view our site have a direct and personal relationship to what is going on. We think that this is something that on to it advertisers will want to be associated with".

Tandem skydiving has become so popular over the last decade, it is estimated that over 900,000 people make their first ever jump every year.
