Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) August 28, 2005 -- On Thursday September 1, from 11am to 2pm, Uptown Charlotte's only glossy upscale magazine will again hand out free ice cream in two tents setup on the corners of Trade and Tryon.
Uptown Magazine is following up the successful release of our August edition and the distribution of 26,000 magazines to Uptown residents and workers. During last month's event on Trade and Tryon over 2,000 magazines were distributed to Uptown denizens. We look to match or surpass that number on September's launch.
We are also welcoming Peter Reinhart as our contributing food editor. Peter is a nationally known Chef and author of "The Bread Bakers Apprentice." Peter is currently the Chef in residence at Charlotte's Johnson and Wales University.
This month's magazine will highlight the following articles:
* A conversation with Tommie Robinson, the only African American muralist chosen for the art project at the new Charlotte Bobcats arena
* A Neighborhood Guide to Plaza Midwood
* The continuing boom in Uptown real estate
* Peter Reinhart a renowned Chef and Baker, writes on the James Beard Dinner at Charlottes Shout festival
* Elmwood Park, a continuing fictionalized story on life in Uptown Charlotte
