New Findings for Using Modified Citrus Pectin Isaac Eliaz, MD. MSC, LAc to Give Remarks On New Immune Enhancing Properties at AANP Convention
New study demonstrates that Modified Citrus Pectin has immune enhancing properties. MCP is used in the treatment of cancer and is known for its effects in inhibiting metastasis and reducing tumor growth.
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) August 27, 2005 -- Modified Citrus Pectin (MCP) a dietary supplement ingredient derived from the peel and pulp of citrus fruit, is known for its effects on inhibiting cancer metastasis and reducing tumor growth and development. Most recently it has also played a very important clinical application in heavy metal chelation. Now scientists have recently discovered that MCP stimulates and supports the immune system, which opens up many different uses for its health enhancing properties.
To discuss these exciting new research findings on the benefits of MCP is Isaac Eliaz, M.D., M.S., L.Ac., founder of Better Health Publishing®. Dr. Eliaz will deliver his remarks Integrative Medicine and Cancer: The Path of Knowledge & Wisdom" at the 20th National Conference of The American Association of Naturopathic Physicians on Saturday, August 27th at the Biltmore in Scottsdale, AZ at 2:00 PM. The remarks will highlight investigations of MCPs prevention and treatment of health problems associated with prostate cancer, breast cancer and human exposure to heavy metals and toxins.
MCP is a dietary supplement derived from the peel and pulp of citrus fruit. Dr. Eliaz was granted two US patents in 2001 and 2002 for new applications of MCP, including using MCP to chelate heavy metals. MCP also has beneficial effects on cholesterol reduction and digestion. Dr. Eliaz and his colleagues have conducted pilot human clinical trials to investigate the use of MCP as a systemic chelator of environmental toxins and in the treatment of prostate cancer.
Better Health Publishing®, www.dreliaz.com, a Santa Rosa education-based company, is dedicated to providing responsible information and updates of scientific research on integrative therapies to health care professionals and individuals interested in self-care.
The American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) was founded in 1985 to provide alternative methods for healing human diseases and disorders than have been traditionally offered in the United States. Members of the AANP must have graduated from one of North Americas six accredited schools of naturopathic medicine and must have served a clinical residency.
