Weinberg, Professor for Cancer Research at MIT, will be presenting the Keynote Address at this years Tumor Progression & Therapeutic Resistance Conference. The conference is being held September 18--20, 2005 at the Boston Marriott Burlington in Burlington, Massachusetts.
Dr. Weinberg is a founding member of the Whitehead Institute and is most well known as a pioneer in cancer research. He has received several prestigious awards throughout his career, including the National Medal of Science in 1997 and the Wolf Prize in Medicine in 2004. His presentation, entitled Mechanisms of Formation of Human Malignant Tumors", will take place as part of the Opening Ceremonies on September 18.
The 3 day event will also feature speakers from Childrens Hospital of Boston, Columbia University, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard University, Incyte Corportation, Johns Hopkins University, the National Cancer Institute-NIH, Pfizer, Schering-Plough, UCSF along with many other esteemed universities.
