People have dreams and goals, but no clue how to reach them. Dreams and wishes stay unrealized. Wish Fulfillment Expert Laura Handke-Jones, author of "Six Degrees to Your Dreams," gives simple and easy ways to create and realize their dreams.
"So many people are frustrated by unrealized wishes and dreams," says Handke-Jones. "It can be so challenging to make a vague dream into a firm action plan with concrete goals and steps. It seems there is a never-ending stream of barriers, from lack of time and money to insufficient information and resources."
If a person doesn't know what he or she wants, how will that person go about describing it to others and achieving it?
Handke-Jones recommends three main steps: Visualize, Journalize and Vocalize. When people visualize, this includes seeing what they want clearly in their mind's eye, setting an intention, and watching their thoughts.
When someone uses the technique of journalizing their dream life, they write it down to make it concrete. Good financial planners recommend putting your financial goals and plan in writing; the same is true of their wishes and dreams. Handke-Jones' "me now" exercise does just that; it's a powerful tool for creating the life a person wants as if they are living it now, and helps them prioritize their first steps in building their dream. When they vocalize, they share their wishes and dreams with like-minded people, kicking the six degrees of connection to their dreams into action.
