(PRWEB) August 29, 2005 -- Mongolian-born designer Ono Donahue will present her latest collection this fall in New York City. Part of the fashion show entitled "Fabulous Contemporary Collective," produced by USA International Fashion Shows, the runway presentation will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at West Side Loft, 336 West 37th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues).

"My designs are influenced by Mongolian history and current Southwest American design," notes the designer. "Turquoise, blacks and browns are the colors that I use often. I like the look of a woman hunter or warrior -- so this trend is also in many of my designs. Another common theme is the strong and powerful look -- what I call the 'bravelook.'"

Mongolia has a rich tradition of fine design in fur and leather which will are an important part of Ono's designs. Her current collection ranges from evening gowns to leather coats to casual attire.

"Last summer my fashion show in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia amazed me," Says the designer. "I was overwhelmed by the response from the models, the media, and the audience of more than 500 people." The show featured Ono's modern styles with an emphasis on easy-to-wear elegance. The positive feedback encouraged her to pursue her fashion career in bigger arenas. "This is why I have chosen to present in New York," she concludes.

"We are very happy to present a designer who has a unique perspective on fashion," says producer Andres Aquino. "Ono's designs bring together cultural elements from two very distant countries and peoples, but who share a love for nature and the land."
