Albany, OR (PRWEB) August 28, 2005
The Elijah List, a Christian Prophetic News Service since 1997, has released a copy of a prophetic news bulletin stating that on August 29, a tremendous hurricane would cause people to flee from the South to the North from New Orleans (plus a reference to Baton Rouge) because of the wind and the water.
The Elijah List was formed in 1997 to prophesy what God is allowing or doing on the earth today. "Nevertheless, this hurricane prophecy is my least favorite type of prophecy," the founder Steve Shultz says. "We specialize in encouraging prophecies."
Chuck Pierce, one of regular prophetic writers for The Elijah List and head of Glory of Zion Ministries prophesied, regarding this Louisiana event on exactly August 29, 2004 that, "This will purify the land and bring great change."

The publisher of The Elijah List (http://www.elijahlist.com) Steve Shultz clarifies, that "not unlike other posted prophetic words, there is meaning in almost every word that is prophesied. In this case, though it's exactly a year later since the prophecy was given August 29, 2004 when the eye of the storm is being speculated to hit New Orleans, the hurricane's name, "Katrina" contains important meaning, "pure or purify," --the very thing that Chuck prophesied for this area in this prophecy.
In Mr. Pierce's 2004 prophecy, he states as coming from God: "I will fill churches. The south, purifying wind of My holiness will sweep across Louisiana. People will be on their faces in malls and shopping centers..."
In another portion of the prophecy Mr. Pierce continues "I will put a mantle on African Americans in this land. That which was brought in through parts of this state and held people captive will let go. I will send the wind up the Mississippi River, and this wind will shake Missouri. You will see the land shake in Missouri because of the wind from Louisiana. Get ready. Don't brace yourself. Throw yourself up. Get ready, for the new is coming. Every place I blow on will shake...."
Finally, Mr. Pierce, writes: "Get ready -- the wind is about to blow. The river is changing courses. You will be one of the first that changes."
Mr. Shultz who manages this burgeoning ministry, a daily email list that is sent daily for free to nearly 120,000 subscribers clarifies that "This ministry was founded primarily to call Believers in God to pray about and to understand the reasons for either the things God is doing or the things God is allowing."
"We don't prophesy bad things while hoping they will happen, " Shultz says. "Rather, we either try to pray such prophecies 'away' or we pray that there will be minimal loss of life and that Jesus Christ will be glorified in the process."
Chuck Pierce is insistent in this prophecy: "Prepare! Prepare! Prepare!"
Steve Shultz is adamant that it may be no coincidence that the hurricane, "Katrina," is expected to hit Louisiana and the surrounding region on exactly a year to the date of the August 29, 2004 prophecy.
